LEPUS MODEL CV
CV
COMPUTER VISION
We were taught to believe the camera shows the truth. Lepus CV was built to question that belief through vision that rewrites reality, and to challenge the relationship between perception and representation through computer vision.
CV
CONCEPT
CV begins with a fundamental question: How do our expectations shape our decisions?
It investigates that inquiry within photography, a practice of decisions. It challenges the medium by asking how the nature of the photographic process is altered when we move from the conventional WYSIWYG (“What You See Is What You Get”) paradigm to an unpredictable instrument.
Born from the dissonance between human perception and machine interpretation, CV uses computer vision algorithms to manipulate what the camera 'sees' in real time. The result is an apparatus that acts not as a passive recording device, but as a sensory mirror—one that is misaligned, delayed, partial, and inherently curious.
While CV stands for 'Computer Vision,' its function might be better described as a 'Cognitive Vibration' or a 'Curated View.' Ultimately, it is not an instrument meant to display truth, but one designed to question the very nature of it.”
Core Feature
Extracts & Eraces
LEPUS CV detects and removes human figures from the frame in real time. An embedded algorithm reshapes the image before it’s captured, altering colors, forms, and expectations in the moment of seeing.
LEPUS CV
POWERED BY COMPUTER VISION
Model CV is powered by a Raspberry Pi and equipped with a standard camera module.
